"Cosmic Boat" Drawings

This is a drawing I did for a comic project I am working on. It's a one-panel page and the comic will be called something like "Space Boat" or "Cosmic Ship." I've also included two pencil sketches of the same image to show what my illustration process is.

More Drawings / Artings

Here is the final Adam and Eve image; created for my friends Billy & Dolly's new album, In The Beginning. See the post below for some earlier versions of the artwork.
And while I'm at it, here's a Halloween-themed birthday drawing for Desmond (his birthday is at the end of October).

Adam & Eve Drawing

Here is a drawing I did that was intended for my friends' album cover. Earlier, I had drafted out some different concepts and while they ultimately decided they would go with one of those, I liked this one and decided to see it through for my own amusement. It can be hard to leave what you believe might be a good idea unfinished. It can also be ridiculously easy too...

Below are some of my earlier passes / versions of this image. I plan at some point to post a finished piece and include all of the mistakes, dead-ends, failed attempts and sketches that helped me get there - usually each project results in quite a pile of "notes."

Drawing

Here is a drawing I did as sort of a test for a comic project I am still formulating. It's a depiction of a man stranded on a strange planet - hence the spacesuit - coming across something buried under the ground. I did some quick greyscale shading in Photoshop to see if it made the image more dynamic but I've decided the next pass will take be from a more dramatic vantage point.

Punk Planet Magazine Back Cover Advertisement

This is a full page print ad I made for Punk Planet in 1998. I don't recall what the drawing is supposed to mean or how it exactly relates to the quote by Louis Armstrong. This was an attempt of mine to create a style of ads for Lookout that were unique - illustrating a quote from someone notable in what I hoped would be a fresh or funny approach. Another Punk Planet ad I did can be found here and here are some paintings that were done for this ad series. I'll work on tracking down the actual finished designs and posting them soon.

Digital Album Art

Two digital-only Lookout Records releases, Ted Leo and The Pharmacists "Sharkbite Sessions," and "Lookout Class of '04" both from 2005. I am responsible for the designs but not the illustrations.
